Online Library

Bryan University provides you with a password-protected library website via the learning management system. And when you enter it, information abounds. Inside the library you’ll find full-text article databases, electronic books, and program-specific pages listing reliable web resources as well as links to relevant journal titles and electronic books. The online library includes a virtual “Ask a Librarian” service, which is available 24/7. Bryan University students can access the online library from any computer via the internet.

Our online library provides program-specific pages that list relevant and reliable websites, e-books, and articles by category. Furthermore, each program has unique resources to coincide with specific program needs including:

Through the online library we provide you with access to ProQuest and Health Reference Center Academic – full-text periodical databases with access to hundreds of popular and scholarly journals.

Criminal Justice Periodicals (ProQuest) – Search a comprehensive collection of U.S. and international criminal justice journals including information for professionals in law enforcement, corrections administration, drug enforcement, rehabilitation, family law, and industrial security.

Health Reference Center Academic (Gale/Cengage) – Access a multi-source database providing full-text of nursing and allied health journals, plus a wide variety of personal health information sources that offer reliable health information to researchers.

Health Management (ProQuest) – Find complete, full-text information from leading publications covering all aspects of health administration, including public health and safety, hospitals, finance, personnel management, insurance, population studies, labor relations and law.

Research Library (ProQuest) – Explore a broad range of subjects including arts, business, children, education, general interest, health, humanities, international, law, military, multicultural, psychology, sciences, social sciences, and women’s interests.

Our electronic book library currently houses 39 monographs available to all Bryan University students in electronic format. Subjects include medical (anatomy and alternative health), medical coding, legal, fitness, career development, and academic success.

Grammarly (www.grammarly.com/edu) is a web-based, automated proofreader and personal grammar coach. All Bryan University students have access to their own Grammarly account.

Physician’s Desk Reference: The PDR electronic library provides detailed search of FDA-approved drugs, nonprescription drugs, and specialized ophthalmic medicines. The PDR is located on the online library under “Article Databases.”

PTontheNet (www.ptonthenet.com) is a web-based, comprehensive fitness library. All Bryan University AHFT students have access to their own account. The site contains articles, interviews, and videos produced by industry experts and a comprehensive exercise library designed for fitness professionals with multi-dimensional search functionality.
