Notice to students and prospective students March 2017:
The Court Reporting Occupational Associate’s Degree at Los Angeles has been placed on achievement show-cause by their accreditor, the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (“ACICS”) due to material noncompliance with its license pass rate standards of 60%.
Bryan University’s CSR 2016 pass rate average was 47% during the reporting period of July 2015 through June 2016. The pass rate average for all schools in California for that period was 57%. According to the Court Reporter’s Board of California, the last 10-year first-time pass rate averages have ranged from 16.7% to 87.8% with an overall average of 50%. The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools requires at least a 60% pass rate. Based on historical data, the Court Report’s Board has petitioned currently approved accreditation commissions to reconsider their requirements for this exam.
